What are proxy pages?

Proxy pages are special storefront pages that allow apps like ours to display content directly on your Shopify store under a branded URL (e.g. yourstore.com/apps/gift-card-balance). Unlike embedded app admin pages, these proxy pages are visible to customers and behave like regular parts of your storefront. They’re hosted by your app but rendered through Shopify’s infrastructure, ensuring fast load times and a seamless experience for the customer.

These pages are useful for things like gift card balance checkers, loyalty program portals, or customer-facing forms—anything that lives on your storefront but is powered by app logic. As a merchant, you don’t need to configure much: once the app is installed, these pages are available instantly and can be styled to match your brand. They offer a secure, fast way to extend your store’s functionality without theme edits or code changes.
